Key Facts Economy

Immigrants hold billions of dollars in economic power and contribute billions to the Northern Virginia economy

As Virginia's economy continues to expand, businesses and firms will require more workers across all skill levels to stay competitive and productive.  As a tight labor market, with some of the lowest levels of unemployment in the country according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' 2017 annual averages, much of the labor needed to meet Northern Virginia's demand for workers comes from outside the region, U.S born and immigrant alike.
