Coronavirus Testing Dashboard

Background Information

Three dashboards are maintained by NVRC to track coronavirus casestesting, and vaccine data for the Northern Virginia region. The coronavirus information found in the dashboards is sourced from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH).

In addition to NVRC's dashboards, VDH maintains a dashboard on Northern Virginia key measures that include hospitalized patients, hospital bed occupancy, and hospital bed capacity and data. View the hospital key measures.

In addition to the regional information, statewide information can be found on VDH's coronavirus website.

Coronavirus Testing

This dashboard contains coronavirus current testing information and trend information for the region and its health districts.  The coronavirus information is sourced from the Virginia Department of Health. Track total tests and percent positive tests.

The dashboard is updated weekdays (Monday-Friday), generally between 10:30am and 1:00pm following the Virginia Department of Health's daily update.  As of July 16, 2021, the dashboard will no longer be updated on weekends (Saturday-Sunday).

To Navigate the Dashboard Displayed Below

  1. Select the measure for the bar chart: total tests or percent positive.

  2. Select the health district of interest. The default is Northern Virginia, which is actually not a health district, but this option is provided for regional summarization of the region's health districts.
